Sodium Laureth Sulfate

Sodium Laureth Sulfate is an interesting ingredient. Never would I have guessed that  is something included in most of the products I currently use and have at home. Apparently Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS) can cause skin irritation and even be responsible for variety of health problems such as cancer. I personally have never experienced irritation in my skin. Everyday I use soap, shampoo, toothpaste and many other products that contain SLS. Since I have never  had any reactions to it, it would be silly of me to be against it. In my opinion people who have had the opposite results should avoid products with SLS. There are more chances of people having skin cancer due to sun exposure than from a soap. I will continue to use products with SLS as long as they have a low level of that ingredient.
